YEAH!!!! Our case manager called us today with a court date. It is scheduled for April 21st - well, really the 20th, while we are sleeping, due to the time difference. We are sooo excited, but it will be a LONG 20 days! Please say a
A couple of things have to line-up for a "YES" at court. First, little G's dad needs to be there. This is a hard trip for him to make. He is from the Southern Region, so it is hard both financially and logistically. We also need a file from the MOWA (Ministry of Women's Affairs) with a reccommendation letter in it and paperwork from the Central Authority. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries for all of the paperwork to get there "together".
If we pass, then little G will legally be ours, and we will wait to be assigned a travel group. If we do not pass, then we will wait to be assigned another court date. We have no idea of travel dates or other court dates - all typical for adoption. It wouldn't be exciting if it was all mapped out :)
